Cooperative |
| The Quail Springs Farm is actively recruiting
parties to be involve in cooperative farming. There are two
type of projects - joint projects and individual projects. |
- All cooperative members must acknowledge the risk of
agricultural land use, release the landowner (and other cotenants) from liability, and
agree to indemnify the landlord in the case of loss.
- A portion of the rent is generally based on a percentage of the production with
certain minimums and maximum depending on the nature of the project
and the size of the land required.
- Rent will also include
- cash payments for water use and prorata share of common/joint
expenses
- labor commitments to help maintain (a perhaps improve) the
property.
- Project financing is available from the landowner at attractive
interest rates.
